The Birdie Lite is the most portable basket RAD makes — and the new production run now ships standard with course-weighted 5 mm chain links, the same weight used on full RAD course installations.
At 14 kg it carries easily and assembles in under a minute. Threaded tension connections thread together by hand, so there are no tools, no loose fittings and nothing to lose in the grass. It holds the same catching geometry as the premium range, built to PDGA height and size regulation.
Designed by the team behind more than 85 Australian course designs, and built for Australian conditions. Perfect for schools and camps running introductory programs, clubs needing portable targets for events and temporary layouts, and players who want a regulation practice target at home.
Threaded tension connections thread together by hand — no tools, no loose fittings, assembled in under a minute. The optional Birdie Lite Travel Bag (600D Nylon Cordura, dedicated pole pocket, two accessory pockets and a zip compartment for the basket and base) is built for carrying it in and out of a car boot.

Heavy-gauge galvanised steel chain assembly
The top band and chain rack are hot-dip galvanised heavy-gauge steel. Chains are hung in a dual-pattern configuration that absorbs putts from every angle — engineered to shrug off decades of weather and play.
All-metal, all joints welded
All-metal construction with every joint welded, hung with 24 high-visibility zinc-coated chains on course-weighted 5 mm links.
Electrophoretic anti-rust under powder coat
An electrophoretic anti-rust treatment sits under a tough powder-coated outer shell.
High-visibility zinc-coated chains
24 zinc-coated chains — 12 outer, 12 inner — in a high-visibility finish.
